Hello! We’re The Bookworm Society (BWS) an association centered at the University of Puerto Rico of Mayagüez, where students can join freely to read and discuss different genres of books, socialize amongst other writers, and help each other with any creative writing projects that they might have.
We host regular social events to foster friendships among members and encourage a supportive writing community.
Mission

The Bookworm Society (BWS) focuses on allowing and encouraging students to explore their artistic side in the arts of writing among members of a writing community.

Members will have the opportunity to participate in book clubs focused on various genres, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and fantasy.

Members will be encouraged to share their original work for constructive feedback from peers during designated critique sessions.
Requirements

Student must be enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico of Mayagüez.
- Be open to new ideas, concepts, and opinions.

Have the availability for reunions and discussions.

Literary genres that would be read: Classic, Fiction, Horror, Mystery, Non-fiction, Poetry, Romance,Science Fiction, Thriller & Young adult

Money raised from fundraising activities will be used exclusively for other activity and the association.

There will be NO tolerance against any kind of discrimination such as race, gender, sexual or political orientations, and religion.

Bullying and inappropriate behavior will NOT be tolerated, such can lead to expulsion from the BWS.
